Walk with me,
shade me as I walk through crowds of unfamiliar faces,
feeling uncomfortable and unwanted,
unknowing of who is yours or who choices to rejoice with evil,
allow your presence to be felt and calm my spirit,
protect those who walk for you and speak on behalf of the voiceless,
give us energy to keep moving,
to keep working,
to keep loving,
an energy that comes from you,
energy deep within us that motivates us to please and honor you,
bring back the ancient pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night,
be my shade from the burning sun and shelter from the driving rain
